Chronicles of Ancestors - Mystic Isle is a dungeon crawler with fantasy RPG and open world elements.
Chronicles of Ancestors - Mystic Isle is a first-person grid-based dungeon crawler, which means the player explores the game world from a first-person perspective and moves along a grid.
The player assumes the role of a space traveler who is shipwrecked on a mysterious island on an unknown planet. The main objective is to find a way to get off the island while facing various dangers and challenges.
The game offers more than 90 floors of dungeons, an open world with the possibility of discovering new locations, a player crafting system, various quests (main line and side quests), NPC and MOB factions, and an amity system.
We are planning a release for Windows, MacOs, Linux and probably Xbox. Other platforms are possible if there is sufficient interest from the community.
We develop the game in Czech and English. However, the game is ready for full localization, so adding another language is a matter of translating texts and speaking dialogues.
In connection with the specifics of control, we do not assume any other interface than keyboard and mouse.
The game is designed as a single player, but it is possible that we will add some multiplayer elements.

There will definitely be updates after the release, but they will focus on fixing bugs. Expansion, for example in the form of data disks, is not planned.
The game will not support either VR or AR
We do not expect the game to be updated in these contexts, but it is possible that these elements will be incorporated into the game.
If the community tells us some interesting content, it will be incorporated into the game. It will not be possible for the community to create content themselves.
Mods and custom content will not be officially supported.
Currently, the release of the expansion of the game in the form of an update is not expected. We plan to release more stories that will have a direct connection to the previous plot and probably also to your previous gameplay.
For feedback, which we will only be happy to receive, you can use both our official social networks (the links to them are on our website) and the forum on our website, where any player or alpha and beta tester can express themselves.
We are not planning different game modes.
The player can choose the gender of the character in advance and the distribution of points into individual characteristics.
We do not plan to personalize the character, as the game is not multiplayer and it is from the first view, so these modifications would not be visible 99% of the time anyway.
There will only be one character class, but by first dividing the points into abilities and skills, and then leveling those character traits, you'll be able to create the character you want.
The maximum character level is 50, but some NPCs and MOBs may have a higher level.
Distributing points earned into these abilities and skills.
Leveling - killing enemies, using items, then tasks and maybe something else.
Equipment can be found, purchased, or obtained as a quest reward by the player. He has to level skills, but maybe there is a quest somewhere where he gets a skill as a reward.
Given that the player will have to go through several thousand kilometers of underground passages and explore many places on the surface, while also solving various puzzles and completing tasks, several thousand hours of game time are expected.
The game will not be able to be saved at any time. Special places will be designated for this, where the character can sleep. These places will have to be discovered or acquired by the player. We want this to avoid saving and loading x times right before trying to kill a monster and making the game easier.
Yes, the player will fight enemies in real-time using various weapons and abilities that he will acquire and improve during gameplay.
Not directly, but in connection with the Amity system, your every action affects the future course of the story.
Magical abilities were given to our hero by a device he had on his hand, but he lost it when he was shipwrecked, but his ancestors once lived on the island and there is a high probability that individual parts and components of this device will be found here, so it is enough to find and get them.
The player will have the opportunity to establish friendly relations with NPC characters and factions, which will affect their attitude towards the player and open up new possibilities in the game.
Each player's action can affect the faction's affection towards the player, but also the affection towards another faction.
Yes, the game offers a player crafting system that allows you to create and improve items during the game.
Crafting will be able to improve some things in the game.
NPCs and some MOBs belong to different factions, and the relationship between factions affects the behavior of these NPCs and MOBs with each other. NPCs also have limited financial options and a different ability to get money that can be affected by affiliation with another faction.
You can only sell an item you own to an NPC if they are interested in the item and have enough money.
No it will not.
The difficulty is rather higher.
There will probably be 3 levels of difficulty.
We do not plan different game modes in the game.
For navigation, the player will be able to get a compass. There will be no mapping in the game, the player must build the map himself.
Yes, the game will feature dynamic weather and alternating day and night. Both can affect a lot of other things, such as the appearance of NPCs and MOBs, access to certain locations, use of certain items, etc.
The entire game takes place on an island that is approximately 2.5 x 2.5 km in size, so it's like one biome, but different locations can have different styles.
Interaction with the environment will not be possible, nor will it be possible to directly manipulate objects and influence the terrain. However, some broken objects will be able to be repaired by the player, either by himself or with the help of NPCs.
No it will not.
The game will only be able to be saved in places where the character can be saved to sleep. This place will always be part of some sort of base or home, and some can be upgraded. For example, after getting a house where you can sleep, he will be able to get a chest from someone somewhere, in which to store things.
Definitely yes. He will have the opportunity to explore and discover countless mysterious areas.
Definitely yes. He will be able to explore and discover hidden locations and places with their secrets.
The whole game takes place on one island and in its underground.
Probably yes.
Possible.
The player will not be able to own a vehicle, but different types of vehicles will be.
Yes, there will be different transport options, but the player will not own them.
Yes, the player will be able to interact with NPCs.
The possibility of communication and the subsequent course of dialogue with an NPC will be affected by the affection towards this NPC.
Yes, every action you take can affect your relationship with an NPC.
The game is designed as a single player, so the player can cooperate in certain cases only with NPCs, but not in the construction of villages and cities.
Most likely, yes, but do not forget that every action you take can affect the future course of events.
The entire story is constructed as a non-linear one, and its branching, among other things, will be influenced by chance. Random encounters and dynamic events will accompany you throughout.
Only with NPCs if the NPCs are interested.
Single player only.
The game is single player, this is not planned.
